Used & Damaged Box Puzzles

One of the behind-the-scenes facts you may not realize is that in order to get gorgeous photos of the beautiful puzzles we carry, we often have to open and assemble them first. While it’s the most fun work we could ask for, we sometimes end up with puzzles that can no longer be sold as new - whether they’ve been assembled, partially completed, opened for photography, or simply handled.

We also occasionally receive puzzles with slightly scuffed or dented boxes that are still perfectly giftable (or perfect for yourself!). Rather than let perfectly good puzzles go to waste, we offer these used, open-box, and damaged-box puzzles at deep discounts.

*All used, open-box, and damaged-box puzzles are sold as-is and are final sale. No exchanges or refunds. Boxes may have damage or signs of wear. There are no known missing pieces at the time of sale, but because these are open-box items, we cannot guarantee completeness and they are not eligible for piece replacement.

Where do your used puzzles come from?

Most of the puzzles in our used collection originally came to Puzzle Weekend as part of our shop inventory. Sometimes a puzzle has been photographed, handled, or otherwise opened and can no longer be sold as new, even though the puzzle itself is still perfectly good. Rather than letting these puzzles go to waste, we offer them at a discount.

Some puzzles also come from our personal collections. We love puzzles, too, and occasionally pass along puzzles we've completed and are ready to share with another puzzle lover.

What condition will my used puzzle be in?

Our used puzzles are generally in good, usable condition, but they have been previously opened or handled and may show some signs of use. You may notice minor wear on the puzzle pieces or a box that is scratched, scuffed, or otherwise a little worse for wear. We try to mention when a puzzle is both used and damaged. With these puzzles, it's what's inside that counts! :)

We do our best to make sure all pieces are accounted for when a puzzle is listed. However, because these are pre-owned puzzles, we cannot guarantee that a puzzle will be complete and cannot accommodate claims for missing pieces. We never intentionally sell a puzzle that we know is missing pieces.

Can I return a used or damaged-box puzzle?

No. All used and damaged-box puzzles are final sale.

Where do your damaged-box puzzles come from?

Sometimes a puzzle box gets damaged during shipping. When that happens, we don't want a perfectly good puzzle to go to waste simply because its box isn't in perfect condition. We offer these puzzles at a discounted price so they can find a new home. The damage is to the packaging, not the puzzle itself, and we'll provide details about the condition whenever possible.

How often do you add puzzles to the used collection?
